We are an online store based in Kobe, Japan, specializing in miniature toys, especially Sylvanian Families. From Japan to the world, we deliver charming treasures that spark joy and nostalgia.Our collection spans every era of Sylvanian Families—from the original releases in 1985 to the latest products available today. We carry a wide range of items, including standard retail products, Japan-exclusive releases, limited editions, collaboration items with other companies, and even rare promotional goods that were never sold in stores.Not only do we offer figures, furniture, and buildings, but also an extensive selection of related items such as mini-sized Sylvanian Families products, keychains, stationery, and other themed accessories.In addition to Sylvanian Families products, we also carry a variety of miniature items that go perfectly with them—such as Re-Ment collectibles and capsule toys released in Japan. Whether you're a collector or just discovering the charm of these tiny worlds, there's something here for everyone to enjoy.
💬Our Story
Kobeejapan began its journey in 2016, originally as an eBay store. The shop was founded by Tsuyoshi Uchibori, a former IT engineer who decided to leave the corporate world in pursuit of a more personal and meaningful venture.
In the early days, we sold a variety of Japanese products—not just Sylvanian Families. But everything changed when Tsuyoshi listed a Calico Cat figure from his late wife’s Sylvanian Families collection in 2020. That small figure became the beginning of a big shift.
Gradually, we began focusing more and more on Sylvanian Families, thanks to the warm response from customers around the world. Within three years, the shop became almost entirely specialized in Sylvanian Families. At one point, Kobeejapan accounted for approximately 60% of all Sylvanian Families sales from Japan on eBay.
In 2021, we opened our own online store—Kobeejapan Museum Store—to offer better prices and a more personalized experience for our customers. In 2024, we officially incorporated the business and began operating as a team led by Tsuyoshi and his business partner Rena, along with four dedicated staff members.

Since opening our store, we’ve had the pleasure of shipping to 76 different countries around the world—a number that continues to grow thanks to our loyal and supportive customers.
At Kobeejapan, we offer flat-rate shipping regardless of the number of items purchased. This has encouraged many customers to bundle their orders: 73% of all orders include multiple items, and the average order contains 4.7 products.
